Nokia announced today on its official blog that updates for both the Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 on AT&T, along with the Lumia 920 on Canadian carrier Rogers, will start rolling out today. The update contains a number of tweaks, including enhancements for messaging, imaging performance and battery management. The full list of changes as provided by Nokia looks like this:
  • Enhancements in Messaging
  • More efficient and reliable Bluetooth connectivity
  • More efficient and reliable start-up sequence
  • Enhancements in imaging performance and battery management
  • Additional platform updates and enhancements
The entire update process should take around 30 minutes to complete. Owners of the Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 that don't feel like waiting for the update to be pushed to them can check for it manually by connecting to Wi-Fi and heading into Settings > Phone Update > Check for Updates on their device. This update sounds like the one that we got wind of earlier this week, and judging by the list of changes that Nokia says is packed into the new software, this is something that Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 owners will want to snag as soon as possible.
